Carolyn Shelley

Carolyn Shelley

Carolyn Shelley is a partner in our Family Law group. Carolyn provides services in every area of Family Law including:

  • marriage contracts
  • cohabitation agreements
  • parenting agreements
  • separation agreements
  • divorce
  • custody and access
  • child and spousal support
  • division of family property
  • restraining orders
  • adoptions
  • fertility law

In addition to litigation, Carolyn also practices Collaborative Family Law.  Collaborative Family Law provides a separating couple with the opportunity to resolve their disputes respectfully, in a manner that meets both parties’ goals and with a commitment that neither party will litigate. This is an excellent option if you and your spouse would like to work through your differences, maintain control over the dispute resolution process and avoid court.

Carolyn is a native of Kingston who has returned after pursuing her education in Toronto and Halifax. Carolyn articled with the Office of the Children’s Lawyer and continues her representation of children in high conflict custody/access and child protection proceedings as a panel lawyer for that office.

Carolyn also accepts Legal Aid Certificates in family law matters.
