We are the premier law firm in Southeastern Ontario.
More than that, we are your neighbors. We are your customers, your volunteers, and your teammates. We are the friendly face you see at the dog park and the familiar voice you hear around the gym.

We have been deeply embedded in the Kingston community for over 125 years as lawyers and professionals, but also as community members. We are committed to the constant and evolving support of our neighborhoods through volunteerism, mentorship, coaching, and financial contributions.

Community Involvement
We are proud to be a part of the following initiatives in Eastern Ontario.
Queen’s Law Clinic
Cunningham Swan presented a commemorative gift of $125,000 to the Queen’s Law Clinics during the local firm’s 125th anniversary celebration on June 18, 2019. With this donation, which amounts to $1,000 given for every year since the firm first hung a shingle in 1894, Cunningham Swan is furthering its long history of giving back to the Kingston community.
Pathways to Education
[Our donor’s] financial investments have provided us with the resources required to support thousands of Canadian youth to overcome barriers to education and graduate from high school.
Limestone Learning Foundation (LLF) Endowment Campaign
The LLF was established by the Limestone District School Board in 1999 to enhance educational opportunities for students by raising money for projects and initiatives that could not otherwise be offered by the school board through its regular government funding.
Kingston University Hospital Foundation
From hospital to home to community and beyond, every donation to UHKF helps to grow healthcare facilities, equipment, programs, research and education for people across southeastern Ontario.
Hospice Kingston The Time is Now Campaign
Hospice Kingston was established in 1985 and for 35 years has provided comfort, support, and companionship to people with a life-limiting illness, their caregivers and families, and those who are affected by grief or loss.
St. Lawrence College, Uncommon Campaign
Uncommon…sets the table for growth and innovation in our teaching and learning, enhances student life, and, as always, promotes collaboration with our communities.

The Green Economy Leader Program supports and recognizes organizations that are measuring, setting targets, and reducing their carbon footprints.
