Adam Higgins is an Associate in our Litigation Group.
Adam earned his J.D. from Queen’s University, where he was named to the Dean’s Honour List and earned course prizes in Criminal Law and Remedies. He served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Queen’s Law Journal, as a caseworker at the Queen’s Prison Law Clinic, and as a Teaching Assistant in the Certificate in Law program. Adam represented Queen’s in the 2022 Ontario Trial Lawyers Association Cup Moot, winning awards for the Best Team and Best Closing Argument. Prior to law school, he earned his B.A. and M.A. from Nipissing University. He was awarded the President’s Gold Medal in the latter.
Adam summered and articled with the firm before joining as an Associate in 2023. He now advocates for clients in a variety of disputes including:
- Civil litigation
- Commercial disputes
- Contract and shareholder disputes
- Real estate litigation
- Professional negligence claims
- Criminal, quasi criminal, and regulatory charges
Outside of the office, Adam trains in goshin-jitsu, muay thai, and jiu jitsu; he is a blackbelt in goshin-jitsu.
