A Kingston local, Bob attained an Honours degree in Politics and Economics, as well as a LL.B. from Queen’s University. He was appointed a Queen’s Counsel in 1976 and has held significant positions in the community since. Most notably, Bob was an Assistant Crown Attorney, a Lecturer in Municipal and Planning Law at Queen’s Law School, President of the Frontenac Law Association, President of the Kingston YMCA, and and President of the Canadian Association of University Solicitors.

His leadership was recognized when he received the Padre Laverty Award for his contributions to Queen’s University and the Paul Harris Award from the Kingston Rotary Club for outstanding service to the community.

When Bob is not working, he can be found jogging and spending time with his family and friends, exploring all that Kingston has to offer.
