Robert (Bob) Tchegus is a Partner responsible for our firm’s Real Estate Law group. He has been designated by the Law Society of Ontario as a Certified Specialist in Real Estate Law since 2004.
Bob graduated from Queen’s University’s Law School in 1986 and after some time with the Legal Department of the City of Kingston, he joined Cunningham Swan in 1987. He has taught property law for the LSO Bar Admission Course, Ontario Real Estate Association, St. Lawrence College and Queen’s University. He has written and been a frequent guest lecturer and panelist for LSO, Ontario Bar Association (“OBA”), Canadian Bar Association and Frontenac Law Association, all in which he maintains membership.
Today, Bob can be found assisting a variety of clients, from first-time home buyers to public and private financial institutions, in providing transactional, planning, and development assistance or expert legal opinions involving real estate law.
With strong ties to the Kingston community, Bob is a provincially appointed Commissioner for the St. Lawrence Parks Commission and sits on the Board of Directors for Hospice Kingston. He is the Vice-President of the Kingston Symphony Association and a member of many other local organizations.
When he is not working, Bob can be found hosting barbeques for his friends and family.
