Silvia is an Associate in our Family Law group. She supports her clients in all aspects of their family law matter. Silvia tailors her approach to best serve each client’s unique circumstances, goals and needs. She can move skillfully between negotiation, mediation and litigation, as required. Silvia holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology from Queen’s University which she obtained in 2014. Soon after, she pursued her J.D., resulting in her call to the bar in 2018. As a law student, Silvia was a caseworker with the Queen’s Family Law Clinic, the Elder Law Clinic and the Prison Law Clinic, providing pro-bono legal services to low-income clients. Silvia was involved in various committees, including acting as the President of the Queen’s Law Cancer Society and the Women & Law Association. Prior to joining Cunningham Swan, Silvia articled at a leading family law firm in Toronto where she gained extensive experience in her field. She was eager to return to Kingston where she continues to be actively involved in the community with organizations such as Girls Inc. and the Youth Diversion Program. Silvia offers strong advice about a range of practical legal solutions that aim to protect your rights and best interests. At Cunningham Swan, she can be found supporting her clients in the following matters:
