Zachary Y. Dubeau is an Associate in our Litigation Group.
He received his J.D. from Queen’s University in 2019. Eager to gain litigation experience and involve himself in the community, he volunteered throughout his legal education, including work with the Queen’s Prison Law Clinic and Pro Bono Students Canada. Before law school, Zac graduated with distinction from Nipissing University where he received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in History.
Prior to joining Cunningham Swan, Zac summered, articled, and practiced at the largest law firm in Northern Ontario, focusing primarily on the areas of civil litigation and insurance defence.
Zac has successfully assisted a variety of clients, including individuals, corporations, insurers, and public sector agencies before various tribunals and levels of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal. At Cunningham Swan, Zac supports clients in the following matters:
- Civil litigation
- Insurance defence
- Personal injury, life insurance, disability benefit, and accident benefit claims
- Construction matters and liens
- Contract and shareholder disputes

Outside the office, Zac spends his free time traveling, hiking, skiing, golfing, and spending time at his cottage in Northern Ontario. He is also a dedicated commissioner of his fantasy sports leagues and an avid fan of the Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia Eagles.
